Remove BundesPolizei Virus in 2 Simple Steps

The BundesPolizei Virus is a german language ransomware trojan that infects and locks your computer and demands that you pay a ransom in order to be removed. Once the BundesPolizei Virus infects your computer, it will replace your desktop screen with an image and demands payment to be removed. Below are simple instructions on how to remove the BundesPolizei Virus.

Computers infected with the BundesPolizei Virus display the following message which replaces the normal desktop screen:

Users are then directed to make their payment using PaySafeCard. To safely remove BundesPolizei Virus, follow the steps below:

Restart your computer in Windows Safe Mode with Networking. To do so, simply restart your computer and start tapping the 'F8' button on your keyboard, about once every second. In a minute or two, you should see a dos-based menu. Use your keyboard 'Up' / 'Down' arrow keys to scroll to 'Windows Safe Mode with Networking'. Select this option and hit the Enter Key on your keyboard. Windows will start in Safe Mode. You may be greeted with a user login screen, choose the existing user which you normally log on as (not as Administrator).

Once your computer is in Safe Mode, click on Start and select Run. Type 'shell:common_appdata' without the quotes. This will open your Common Application Data folder.

Locate any executable file with a random name, example medhu.exe (this file will be located directly in the Common Application Data folder). Right-click this file and choose 'delete'. Make sure that you do not open any sub folders of Common Application Data, stay in the main folder.

After you successfully delete the above file, restart your computer.

Once you are able to delete the above file and restart your computer, the BundesPolizei Virus should be gone. Run your own anti-virus program to check your computer.
