Turn Off Data Execution Prevention (DEP):

 DEP is service that helps you protecting some virus attack. You need to enable an exception in DEP for the game (Sims 3). To enable exception in Sims 3, right click on Computer, select Properties and left click on Properties.

Now find Performance to check DEP settings under advanced tab. Click on Add if it says, Turn on DEP for all programs and services.

Locate this path "C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe." Windows 64-bit users can locate at "C:\Program Files(x86)\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Game\Bin\TS3.exe."
