Ways to Prevent Your Computer System from Crashing

Nobody likes it when their computer crashes and never is this more apparent than when it occurs while you are working on something. Unless you are using a program that utilizes a recovery feature, whatever you were working on is now gone and with it your patience.

Unfortunately completely preventing computer crashes is not actually possible. Computers are complicated beasts and the occasional crash cannot really be prevented. You can however minimise the frequency of such crashes by keeping your device in good shape, particularly by taking some time to follow these tips.

Anti Virus Software

I will start with the most obvious means of reducing the number of computer crashes you experience and that is by utilizing and regularly updating your anti virus software. Viruses come in many shapes and forms and while they are rarely sent out with the intention of crashing your pc, the applications that they install are usually far from stable and frequently result in crashes. Therefore before doing anything else, sort out your anti virus software.

Keep Installed Programs to a Minimum

While I frequently enjoy experimenting with new applications on a regular basis, each new application installed on your computer brings with it the potential for instability. If you are serious about minimising the number of computer crashes that you encounter, you need to minimise the number of applications on your computer. This means fewer installs and it also means uninstalling anything that you do not actually use.
