Converting All Kinds of Videos for Mac

Being a devoted Mac user all my life, recently I stumbled upon Windows and got stuck in a moment. The problem was nothing else. It was the different video formats. Windows uses WMV (Windows Media Video) format as its default one.  I had to edit a video on the Windows Movie Maker and was stuck in the phase where I had no other option but to save the video in WMV format. The previous format was also WMV when I double checked to make sure. On Mac, Final Cut Pro do not support WMV format. I was left with only one option, to convert WMV to MOV videos.

So I went to the Internet to search for a reliable video converter. After using several free version and trial version of video converters I learned that there can be several problems with video converters that promise a lot but do very little. There are several problems that can occur and some of them occurred during my trial and error part. First of all the converter maybe will be able to finish the conversion but when you try to play the video you will find it corrupted or the video file will be of a format that is neither the format it was nor the format it was suppose to. So some of your valuable time will be down the drain and you will be still with the unconverted file. Next you may face the problem of heavy degradation of the video quality. This problem I faced. I was working with a HD (High Definition) video and after conversion the video became dark and the screen became grainy. Another converter converted into the right format and it was not darker but the video was blurry as though the video was taken in high motion. With that I got another problem of audio and video getting out of sync. The voice was coming after the mouth movement as though it is taking a long time for the sound to come.

Then I found another great site about powerful software – the iskysoft.com. With several video converters there for Mac and PC, I was skeptical about this one as well because of the past experience but after using some of the trial versions I found out that the quality was the same and I was being able to play and edit the converted file on Mac. Before purchasing the full version I tried other formats as well and was delighted to see all of them in perfect quality and condition after the conversion took place. There are a number of options available for you depending on your demand and capacity. You can download the converters with fewer options or with very advanced options depending on your requirement. I found it very useful. I got the iSkysoft iMedia Converter Deluxe for Mac as I needed advanced options and I was very surprised to see the number of options they made available. Apart from conversion between a large numbers of video formats, there were options of ripping DVDs, extracting audios, batch conversion and primary video editing options which I find very useful. So I will recommend this site for you all. Check it out and you will be surprised to see the variety of software to suit your particular need. Trial versions are there so that you can make sure that this is what you want. And if you are a Windows user, you will find this site just equally useful.
