Android is a revolutionary smartphone operating system (OS) launched by the search giant Google. Unlike its competitor's iPhone or iOS (iPhone Operating System), Android is not a dedicated OS and more importantly, it is an open source platform. As an OS android is a software stack which includes operating system, key applications and middleware. Integrated with numerous cutting-edge technologies, Android supports thousands of applications and games. Moreover, Android is able to circumscribe almost every apps and games requirements of any business enterprise and individuals. With so many unique features, the requirement of Android development was inevitable.

However, for the beginners or for the personal individuals who would like to develop their own apps but has no technical knowledge or could not opt for Android development, Google has also provided an online solution with Android App Inventor, which allows them to create basic apps easily without any technical knowledge.
