Are CAT5e network cables suitable for today's cabling requirements

Keeping pace with technology is a tiresome job as it does not take much time for a particular product to be replaced by an improvised one thus rendering it obsolete. In terms of choosing the right wires for your computer, you must be aware of whether you would opt for the current cabling system or make room for the succeeding generation of LAN technology as well by opting for the higher version.

Anyone who is familiar with even the mundane of wires and Ethernets does have a fair idea of what CAT5 cables are; CAT5 or Category 5 cables are the twisted wires that are commonly seen being connected at the back of the computers. The specification for Cat5 cables were defined as ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-A and were considered to be the set standard until the standards were later revised in the year 1999-2000. The revision brought about the CAT5e network cables, an improvised version that took in account the shredded edges of its predecessor and was worked upon till it became a better option to go with.
